2008 Solus Christus

In Christ Alone! There is no more important word in the English language than that little word alone! Do you understand why? If you're a Christian, you must! Does God accept you because of Christ? Or because of Christ alone? This is not the petty parsing of words. On one side is the true gospel—on the other, damning error. Nothing in us can ever gain for us a right standing before a holy God. Instead, to have any hope at all, we must look outside ourselves. We must trust in the righteousness of Christ alone.

Tragically, many Christians no longer understand how essential this truth is — both to the Christian faith and to their own personal, spiritual progress. About the Sola Conference Series

Five hundred years ago the light of the Protestant Reformation emerged from the darkness of medieval Roman Catholicism. The reformers' slogan Post Tenebras Lux—"after darkness, light"—described the dawning of a quest for the faith once for all delivered to the saints, based solely on the light of Scripture.
